The Science of Long Term Fat Loss:
I always insist that “Plan” is the very best four letter word of your life. We take the time to plan everything that is important to us. We plan everything important to our lives - our families, careers....we take the time to plan. Our health should be the most important feat & focus of our lives. A cherished tradition to be passed on to our kids. A plea of mine through out my personal coaching, family health coaching & corporate health programs in we need to take a seriously blunt, honest look at what our health & fat loss challenges are.
I carry this theme through out my radio show Eat Exercise Live. I bring you guests to “third person objectify” the internal & external influences on our eating & behavioral habits. We need to parse our daily activities, make an honest critique & have the strength to welcome change. This scientific analysis will help you unleash your inner passion. Chances are, it is being cluttered by those internal & external saboteurs. Click the link above to Eat Exercise Live and click on the archives tab. Here we have many great professionals sharing their brilliance & passion - to help you analyze your own personal challenges. The reward of pride & exhilaration are well worth the journey.
Now here are 2 really tough ones to come to terms with:
-
1)Eating disorders: Studies show 30% of obese women trying to lose weight have binge eating disorder. Eating fast foods and what are called hyper palatable foods (high saturated fat, salt, sugar) can cause disorders & addictions to spiral out of control.
-
2)Food Addictions: we now know these are very real. Please listen to the show with Ashley Gearhardt of the Yale Rudd Center for Food & Obesity. Ashley has been kind enough to share with us a wonderful tool to assess food addictions.
